What first brought you to yoga?
I tried yoga many times over the years, but finally started practicing yoga on and off the mat about 4 years ago when I found Pilgrimage. I was going through a very difficult time in my life and my mat became my safe place. It was the one constant in a sea of chaos for many years. I remember attending Arezou’s 5pm Hot Yoga II like it was church. Pilgrimage is such a special place and I am so honored to now offer the practice that changed everything for me. My difficult days are behind me for now, but my love for yoga remains. No matter how many classes I teach, I will always be a student, first.
When did you complete your Yoga Teacher Training?
I completed my YTT at Pilgrimage in the Fall of 2020. All of us remember 2020 and most will never forget it. Completing YTT during this time was like a lifeline.
How would you describe your teaching style?
My teaching style is playful, loving, and full of smiles. I love bringing my childlike spirit to the mat. Expect to smile, shake out your stress, AND break a sweat on your mat. I love creating flow in the body through vinyasa. Yoga is an embodied practice; through movement on our mats, we watch our thoughts, emotions, and perspectives shift. Flow in the body connects us to our rhythms and we become aware of our inner teacher. We breathe in, we breathe out, we center, we move, we transform. Expect to connect with yourself and feel more confident in your skin. Oh, and don’t forget the love- there is so much love for you here. My classes are an experience for your mind, body, and spirit. All of you is welcome here.
What are your favorite type of classes to teach?
Vinyasa and Power Flow. I love working up a good sweat during class.
What are your favorite hobbies?
You can catch me at the OB Dog beach with my dog Morty most every evening. Having my feet in the sand and watching him run is my happy place. I love spending time with my partner Anthony, eating yummy food, and laughing as much as possible.
