Rachel Ishiguro, RYT 200
Rachel (she/her) has been practicing yoga since the late 1990s, studying with a range of teachers and styles. Certified through Pilgrimage of the Heart Yoga and registered with Yoga Alliance, she teaches Vinyasa, Hatha, and Restorative Yoga with a focus on physical alignment and connecting to the breath. Rachel weaves philosophy and readings into her classes as a way to unite the physical practice of asana with our lives off the mat. She believes that yoga is first and foremost a transformational practice. It helps us open to change in our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual selves. Yoga has taught Rachel to find calm and ease while continuing to challenge her perceived physical and mental boundaries. She feels deeply privileged to be able to pass on these amazing teachings to her students.
Rachel’s Class Style: Rachel’s Gentle Yoga classes are relaxing and meditative, with an emphasis on gentle movement, breath awareness, and listening to your own body for a healing and deeply personal practice.
