The Rope Wall Series is back!Get your hands on, and legs into, one of the best yoga props.

Practicing on the ropes can lead to a better understanding of some postures, deepen others, and allow one to access postures that may seem out of reach in a traditional mat class.

-Use of the ropes can help to better understand the actions required of the back leg in a standing posture like Warrior 1

- May deepen your forward bend

-Can help to access the benefits of an inversion while supporting you in position.

Plus, it's a lot of fun!

This 8 week series is open to all levels (barring certain injuries, or contraindications).

Early-Bird Price:  $112 if registered by Sunday January 6, 2020

About Reiki:

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit and has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and malady and always creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery. Its use is not dependent on one's intellectual capacity or spiritual development and has been successfully taught to thousands of people of all ages and backgrounds. While Reiki is spiritual in nature, it is not a religion. It has no dogma, and there is nothing you must believe in order to learn and use Reiki. For more information and to register for this training, please contact Kayma Englund directly at kamalicrystals@gmail.com / 760.473.6634 to reserve your spot.

-Would you like to make your own 108 beaded necklace infused with your personal intentions and prayers?
-Do you want to learn more about crystals and the healing benefits they have?
-Are you new to meditation or are interested in deepening your meditation practice?

Join Hana Pepin in this fun and interactive hands on workshop where you will leave with a Mala necklace and a wealth of knowledge.

During the workshop we will discuss the...

-Types of crystals, how to choose and the power they carry
-how to integrate Mala meditation into your daily practice
-Learn how to hand tie knots between each bead
-the art of Mantra (chanting) and the power of vibration for personal healing
-and time for your questions to be answered.

Hana Pepin has been hosting mala making workshops in San Diego for the past four years and started her business, Enchanted Strands 5 years ago creating custom Malas for her community. She intends to share the art of beading and the ancient wisdom of mantra (chanting) to harmonize mind, body and spirit. To her the process of Mala Making is unique, meditative and inspiring, no piece is ever the same and each necklace carries a certain vibrations and intention. The stones bring forth the power within an individual to align oneself with their purpose and meaning.

”Each bead is a seed of love to the flower of infinite wisdom and oneness that lies within us. The string is the universal self, existing in everything! The beads are you and I, the unique expressions of the whole. Together we grow in the garden of eternal bliss”.-Hana Pepin

Hip-opening postures can feel like a wonderful release, or a pain in the butt (literally)! But whether you love or despise them, this workshop is for you. Because the hips function as a bridge between the upper and lower body, unlocking the hips can promote greater ease and fluidity in the joints and muscles both above and below. In this workshop you will learn how to cultivate a sense of relaxation and openness on and off the yoga mat by working steadily, but compassionately, with the hips while practicing the art of going easily with the flow of your life.

In this 2-hour workshop, you will:

  • Practice a sequence of postures that will access deep stretch in order to release tension in all facets of the hip joints.
  • Learn about the anatomy of the hips, pelvis and lower body to gain a better understanding of the groups of bones and muscles involved in hip-opening postures.
  • Experience Yang (active stretch) and Yin (passive stretch) hip-openers.
  • Learn about the subtle anatomy of the hips from a yoga perspective, including exploration of the 2nd chakra.
  • Learn adaptations and modifications for the most common hip-opening poses to stay safe in class and in your home practice.
